We are looking for a Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage enterprise Microsoft environments across Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure. The role focuses on ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure while supporting application hosting and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Active Directory (AD) Management: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Active Directory, including user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy. Office 365 and Exchange Online Administration: Administer and support the full range of Office 365 services (e.g., Exchange Online, Share Point, Teams). Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, and manage Windows servers to ensure availability, security, and performance. MSSQL Administration: Manage and administer Microsoft SQL Server, including performance optimization, backup management, and troubleshooting. Application Hosting Environment: Collaborate with developers and Dev Ops to provision and configure Windows environments for application hosting. Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts (e.g., Power Shell, Ansible) to streamline day-to-day administrative tasks. Azure Cloud Services: Utilize and manage Microsoft Azure services to support and integrate with the Windows infrastructure. Server Performance Monitoring: Monitor the health and performance of Windows servers and MSSQL databases, ensuring issues are proactively addressed. Patch Management: Perform security patching and updates on Windows servers and MSSQL databases, keeping systems compliant and secure. Security and Compliance: Ensure secure configurations of servers, Office 365 environments, and databases, following best practices for system hardening and security. Office 365 Security Features: Configure and manage security-related features in Office 365 E5, including DLP, MDM, Microsoft Defender, and other relevant security solutions. Audit Preparation: Collect and document evidence for internal and external security audits, particularly focusing on NCA compliance. Collaboration: Work closely with other Infra team members and development teams to ensure seamless integration of Windows systems, databases, and Office 365 in the overall IT infrastructure. Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Windows systems, MSSQL databases, and Office 365 security configurations, minimizing downtime. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Ensure backup systems are properly configured for both Windows servers and MSSQL databases, and that disaster recovery plans are up to date. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field5+ years of experience as as a Windows System Administrator or Engineer Strong experience in Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, and Windows Server Experience with Azure cloud services Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server Experience in automation using Power Shell Strong understanding of infrastructure security and compliance frameworks Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, MCSA, MCSE, or similar) Preferred:Experience with Dev Ops methodologies. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery best practices.
