You will be instrumental in driving product innovation and ensuring our applications provide exceptional user journeys.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design process for new mobile application features and improvements, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and prototyping. Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design decisions. Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, style guides, and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across platforms. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and design solutions that meet user needs and business goals. Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring usability and accessibility are paramount. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing results, and performance data. Present design concepts and solutions clearly and persuasively to cross-functional teams and senior management. Stay abreast of the latest UI/UX trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile application design. Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team's capabilities. Ensure design compliance with platform-specific guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a significant focus on native mobile applications (iOS and Android). A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI/UX design skills, with examples of successful mobile applications. Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, visual design, and information architecture. Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and analyzing user feedback. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working closely with engineering teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in a collaborative team setting. This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, CA .
