Key Responsibilities
• Lead mission operations and systems integration activities for GPS space programs
• Support system-of-systems integration across space, ground, and user segments
• Drive mission readiness planning, including operational test and transition to operations
• Develop and manage integrated plans, schedules, and decision briefings
• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks across mission operations and integration efforts
• Serve as a technical liaison between government stakeholders and contractor teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Support integrated system testing for space, ground, and user systems
• Participate in and lead cross-functional systems engineering and integration meetings
• Develop operational acceptance and mission readiness documentation
• Manage interfaces, dependencies, and handoffs between system providers
• Contribute to systems engineering documentation and program artifacts
• Collaborate using engineering and program management tools such as Confluence and Jira
• Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
Preferred Experience & Attributes
• 10+ years of experience in space systems engineering, integration, and testing
• 10+ years of system-of-systems integration experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
• Active Secret clearance
• Experience with mission readiness, operational testing, and transition planning
• Strong ability to lead and contribute in cross-functional environments
• Effective communicator with government and contractor partners
• Highly motivated with a strong commitment to the DoD mission
• Experience with GPS space, ground, or user segments preferred
• Experience with launch operations or satellite operations preferred
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle and systems engineering practices preferred
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (PMP, ESEP, CSEP, OCSMP) preferred
• Top Secret clearance preferred
