Join us as we pioneer the future of AI at Salesforce. We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Senior Systems Specialist to join our Data Platform Services team. This role focuses on production support, where you will ensure the stability, integrity, and high performance of our vital business platforms. This position requires significant expertise in development, implementation, or support within an enterprise IT environment. Your responsibilities will include managing the operational health of multiple Data Cloud tenants and their connected Salesforce platforms, as well as integrated features and applications, including Tableau Next. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic support setting, display a passion for troubleshooting intricate technical issues, and serve as the technical expert for business partners, driving positive business results. This role also involves taking charge of expert functions, including platform roadmap ownership and disaster recovery planning. Responsibilities Platform Ownership & Technical Leadership: • Serve as the main point of contact for significant incidents and production events, overseeing the incident response process from initial triage to resolution and stakeholder communication. • Own the platform roadmap, focusing on operational health, reliability, and supportability of the Enterprise Data Cloud environments. • Lead disaster recovery planning, contributing to the creation and execution of plans with continuous monitoring. • Maintain strong vendor and infrastructure relationships, collaborating with technical teams to streamline processes. • Drive innovations in technology for proactive operational management and work on reducing technical debt to enhance platform stability. • Manage multiple projects and priorities using proven methodologies to ensure quality delivery of enterprise solutions. • Foster knowledge sharing across the organization, mentoring junior staff and leading best practices initiatives. Production Support & Administration: • Offer expert-level production support and administration of the Salesforce Data Cloud environment, including user management and complex bug resolution. • Prioritize and manage a queue of support tickets, ensuring timely resolutions in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Troubleshoot and rectify complex platform issues concerning configurations, security models, and data integrity. • Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents to prevent future occurrences. • Implement and manage monitoring solutions to detect issues proactively. • Ensure the reliability of data flow between Salesforce Data Cloud and other enterprise systems. • Act as the subject matter expert on the operational health of the Data Cloud/CRM stack. • Maintain and develop runbooks, knowledge articles, and technical documentation. • Ensure service level requirements are met by maintaining system availability. • Adhere to Security and SOX Policy Compliance during all support activities and system configurations. • Contribute to application enhancements and manage complex enhancement projects from commencement to delivery. Required Qualifications • 8+ years in systems administration or technical support leadership emphasizing production support. • Expert experience in platform-specific development, implementation, or support in an enterprise environment. • Deep knowledge of platform native functionality and best practices, particularly within the Salesforce ecosystem. • Proficiency in coding languages, especially APIs, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce Web Services. • Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Data Cloud environments. • Familiarity with Salesforce development tools like Force.com IDE and data migration tools. • Hands-on experience with integrations and analytics environments such as Tableau. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure. • Project management skills to handle multiple tasks across various teams. • Required Certifications: • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification • Must earn the following certifications within the first 90 days of employment: • Sales Cloud Consultant Certification • Service Cloud Consultant Certification • Salesforce Platform Developer Certification • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant Certification • A related technical degree is necessary. Preferred Qualifications • Experience implementing integration architecture and associated technologies. • Familiarity with Continuous Delivery platforms and Infrastructure as Code principles. • Understanding of data governance practices. • Knowledge of Salesforce development technologies like Flows and Apex. • Experience with Tableau Cloud/Server administration and features. • Relevant industry certifications beyond the minimum requirements. • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance issues. • Ability to design, configure, and maintain scalable CDP/Data Cloud platforms. The typical base salary range for this role is $147,800 - $223,700 annually, with higher ranges in certain metropolitan areas.
