Job Summary For Senior Network Automation Consultant (White Plains, NY | 10+ Years’ Experience | Onsite) • Lead the transformation of manual network operations into a fully automated, standardized, and secure automation ecosystem. • Design, develop, and deploy reusable network automation frameworks using Ansible (Core, Tower, AWX). • Convert traditional CLI-based network operations into Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows. • Integrate automation processes with enterprise tools such as GitLab (CI/CD pipelines), ServiceNow (change management), and CyberArk (credential vaulting). • Automate network configuration management, compliance, patching, backups, and provisioning for Cisco (IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NX-OS) and F5 (TMOS) platforms. • Create and enforce gold-standard configuration templates and normalize device configurations across multiple sites. • Implement automated processes for OS patching, firmware upgrades, security audits, and compliance reporting (NERC/CIP, PCI, CIS Benchmarks). • Develop and maintain automation architecture documentation, flow diagrams, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery (DR) processes. • Support and collaborate with network operations, cybersecurity, and engineering teams; provide knowledge transfer and onboarding materials. • Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, security, and reliability requirements, especially for medium-sized government or public-sector utilities. • Recommend and guide long-term automation strategies and tool choices for the client. • Deliver stakeholder training and support ongoing automation initiatives. Required Skills & Tools • Ansible (Core/Tower/AWX) for playbook and workflow development • Python scripting, YAML, Jinja2 templating • GitLab for CI/CD and version control • ServiceNow workflow integration • CyberArk for secrets management • Cisco IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NX-OS, F5 LTM/GTM/TMOS device automation • IaC frameworks and governance • Experience with compliance frameworks (NERC/CIP, CIS) • Strong documentation and architecture design skills • Prior experience with public sector or utility projects (required)
