Job Description
The Company
• European technology company : specializing in the design, development, production, and sales of wireless products and OEM/ODM solutions for global brands
• A wireless technology design and development company, acting as a trusted OEM/ODM partner for global brands in enterprise communication devices & systems, professional audio, and healthcare technology
• Collaborates with global technology brands to deliver end‑to‑end solutions, from initial design and development through testing, production, and delivery.
• Hong Kong office : serves as a strategic hub for the Asia‑Pacific region, supporting design, engineering, and client collaboration
Role Summary
• Lead mechanical design activities based on industrial design concepts.
• Conduct feasibility studies, verification, and validation during new product development.
• Provide technical support to the engineering department on existing products and sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Conduct feasibility studies of industrial and mechanical designs.
• Carry out mechanical design or coordinate with suppliers.
• Generate and maintain 3D and 2D design files.
• Plan and execute mechanical verification and validation.
• Create and maintain design documentation (Mechanical BOM, drawings, instructions, etc.).
• Release design materials for production.
• Provide technical support to production (onsite and offsite).
• Act as project manager in development teams when appointed.
• Contribute technical input and feasibility studies for PRS and new project opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with teammates and other departments.
• Support and train junior staff on technology and tools.
• Report directly to the engineering manager.
• Assist with additional R&D tasks as required.
• 3-4 trips per year to Guangdong
Ideal Candidates
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in mechanical design within the telecommunications industry.
• Proficiency in Pro‑E and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical design of handheld devices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to drive projects to completion on time.
• Proactive, results‑oriented, outgoing, and positive attitude.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills.
• Good communications in English and Putonghua.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
