About STRELI
STRELI Technology Limited is a growing technology startup working at the intersection of industrial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and automation. We develop industrial intelligence solutions for process manufacturing and have been working closely with leading international industry partners to improve manufacturing efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. Backed by a highly dedicated team of world-class scientists and engineers, we aim to lead the real-world deployment of industrial intelligence in the market.
Role Overview
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will take technical ownership of STRELI's software platform spanning cloud servers and on-prem industrial hardware deployed inside factories. The role is primarily server- and backend-focused, but requires involvement across the full system stack, including cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, and software running on industrial edge devices. You will help ensure that data collected from factory environments is securely ingested, stored, processed, and accessed efficiently across distributed systems. This is a hands-on engineering and research role in a startup environment, requiring strong ownership, system-level thinking, and close collaboration with industrial, control, and data engineers.
Key Responsibilities
· Research, design, and implement backend services and APIs supporting both
(i) industrial data ingestion from factory-deployed hardware and
(ii) STRELI's customer-facing web platform for AI/LLM interaction
· Research and deploy, and server-side infrastructure (e.g., cloud services, databases, APIs) for both industrial data pipelines and the user platform (AWS or similar)
· Research and develop end-to-end data flows and storage between factory-deployed hardware (industrial edge devices) and central cloud servers
· Implement the software stack on industrial edge devices, working closely with hardware and gateway teams (no PLC programming required)
· Design and research Dockerised deployments across cloud and edge environments
· Identify, mitigate, and prevent web security vulnerabilities, including injection attacks, authentication flaws, and unsafe user inputs
· Work with backend services, REST APIs, and server-side logic to support platform functionality and system integration
· Support and extend the customer-facing web platform, ensuring a reliable and intuitive user experience when interacting with industrial data and AI/LLM-based systems.
Requirements
· Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
· years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering, preferably in systems, platform, or infrastructure-heavy roles. More junior roles can be considered for applicants with less experience.
· Strong experience with , backend services, and REST API design
· Experience integrating 3rd-party LLM APIs and handling streaming responses.
· Solid data storage knowledge and experience designing schemas for chat logs/history.
· Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised deployments
· Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or similar), including server-side services and databases
· Good understanding of software and platform security fundamentals, including authentication, authorisation, and common web vulnerabilities (e.g. injection attacks)
· Comfortable working across cloud and on-prem / edge environments
· Ability to work independently in a research-driven startup environment and collaborate effectively with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
