• *In Brief**
EVYD's Data Office department function as a centralized data middle platform to support the entire organization with high-quality, high-value, and standardized data. As a senior data engineer reporting to the team lead, you will run the data development function and work with other teams throughout the company.
• *Main things you need to deliver**:
Support EVYD's project delivery objectives and stakeholder engagement by building health data systems for medical scenarios to enable the refined operation of digital health products powered by big data architecture.
- Inventory and plan data assets to form a complete data asset map.
• *You will also be responsible to**:
- Construct the data quality system, ensuring the stability of offline/real-time data, and data governance in the process of upgrading the architecture;
- Cooperate with our operations, products, and medical functions to create data-enabled value and use data to drive business.
- Guide and train junior data engineers and support building and improving team capabilities through training, code reviews, etc.
- Participate in the construction and maintenance of data warehouses, ensure data quality and data security, and enable high-quality data interoperability and sharing.
• *What you need for this role**:
- You must be an experienced big data engineer with more than 3 years of experience in the field of big data and be proficient in data warehouse modelling and ETL design and development. Experience in healthtech, healthcare, or data analysis will be an advantage.
- You must at least have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics and/or other related majors.
- You should be familiar with the principles of distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop/ Hive/ Flink/ Spark/ Hudi/ Kafka/ Elasticsearch and have experience in massive data processing and real-time data computing.
- You should also have experience using big data analysis engines such as Kylin/ Clickhouse/ Presto.
- You must have rich, practical experience in SQL coding and performance tuning, and in at least one of Python, Java and/or other languages.
- You should have a strong understanding of business and be able to carry out root cause analysis for problem solving.
- You must have a growth mindset and a strong focus on excellence, collaboration, integrity and tenacity.
- You must have a strong command of English. Mandarin will be an advantage to speak with internal stakeholders.
- You must either be based in our main country of business or be willing to travel there up to 50% of the year to train our teams and meet stakeholders.
