Position Summary The Senior Sales Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive insights that optimize sales performance and revenue growth. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with business acumen to translate complex data into actionable strategies for the sales organization. The Senior Sales Data Scientist position is focused on creating, implementing and improving analytic tools and reporting to support profitable sales growth. Responsibilities include compiling and distributing daily, weekly and monthly reports to a broad group of stakeholders including the Sales team as well as Executive leadership. Additionally, analyzing and interpreting data for the purpose of decision-making as well as continuous improvement in processes and tools. The role requires significant cross-functional collaboration, including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Modeling • Develop predictive models to forecast sales trends, customer behavior, and revenue opportunities. • Perform segmentation analysis to identify high-value customers and markets. • Use analytics as an input into root-causes analysis and problem solving to drive continuous improvement across processes and tools. • Sales Optimization • Design and implement pricing and discount strategies using data-driven insights. • Analyze sales funnel performance and recommend improvements. • Partner with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance teams to align analytics with business objectives. • Develop methods to automate reporting and analytics tools to enable more efficient distribution and self-service use across the organization to accelerate decision making and actions • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in clear, actionable formats. • Data Infrastructure • Work with teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility. • Automate reporting and dashboard solutions for real-time sales insights. • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science • Develop new capabilities through investigative analytics and building sustainable reporting and decision-making tools. Required Qualifications: • 5–7 years of professional experience in a highly analytical sales operations or strategy role. • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI. • Experience leveraging AI/ML tools and platforms (e.g., predictive analytics, natural language processing, automated insights). • Experience in CRM systems (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to structure complex issues and develop actionable solutions. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and executive-ready presentations. • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation and resilience; comfortable working independently and proactively. • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and networking skills across business functions. • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities with a strong sense of urgency. • Passion for quantitative analysis, data integrity, and continuous improvement. The salary range for this role is $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, education, as well as the company’s requirements.
