About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a pivotal team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will use your analytical and technical skills to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and compliance with governance policies. This position is perfect for a collaborative problem-solver who is passionate about creating effective data solutions.
Responsibilities
• Analyze data, processes, and systems to identify gaps, understand needs, and propose effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain robust data transformation pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Implement data models and schemas to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of information.
• Utilize DBT to transform data into useful, actionable information.
• Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Expertise with DBT (Data Build Tool), with a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Experience with databases and data storage/movement technologies like Databricks, AWS Redshift, and Snowflake.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
