Job Title: Senior Business Information Security Officer About the Team The Product Security team at Salesforce is essential to securing customer data and assets while proactively managing risks and enhancing our security posture. We excel through deep collaboration with product and engineering teams to achieve optimal risk outcomes and maintain the trust our customers place in us. We are looking for two highly skilled Senior Business Information Security Officers (BISOs) to join our team. One will focus on Availability & Infrastructure Engineering (AiE) and the other on Hyperforce Platform Services (HPS). In these roles, you will lead security accountability for vital aspects of our infrastructure and platform, transitioning beyond traditional compliance to become co-owners of security outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Partner with leadership teams to prioritize security risks, linking them to mission-critical availability. • Act as the 'Voice of Security' for operational teams where availability is closely tied to security. • Promote a 'Security for Operations' mindset, assuring robust incident response frameworks and processes against both adversarial threats and operational errors. • Integrate 'Security as Code' within CI/CD and release pipelines effectively. • Oversee the use of AI to automate security defenses and enhance operational resiliency. Your Impact - Core Responsibilities: • Collaboratively prioritize security initiatives and ensure executive accountability for security and business outcomes. • Translate intricate technical security signals into clear, actionable narratives for executives and boards. • Provide regular metric-driven updates on security risk posture and manage the Security Risk Register. • Encourage a secure-by-design approach throughout the lifecycle of infrastructure. • Utilize generative AI technologies to optimize security risk management. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. • 10+ years of experience in security risk management, including at least 5 years in security operational roles for major cloud platforms. • Exceptional skills in negotiation and influence at the VP level. • High risk acumen and experience managing complex portfolios of security risks. • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations. • Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships across security functions. • Solid understanding of CI/CD security and zero-trust architecture principles. • Experience as a stakeholder in managing major security incidents. Experience Requirements by Team: • AiE Team: Experience managing globally distributed teams and understanding availability metrics (SLAs, SLOs). • HPS Team: Understanding of hyper-scale architectures, containerization, and microservices. Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience in a BISO role or equivalent security leadership. • Relevant security certifications. • Strong knowledge of Secure SDLC and integrating security checks into development pipelines. The typical base salary range for this position is $207,800 - $285,800 annually, depending on location, job-related knowledge, and experience.
