Job Summary
As a senior software engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, building, testing and deploying of our SaaS platform. You must have hands-on experience in every aspect of the development process and be capable of doing it all yourself (if you just "led" and don't understand exactly what was done, this job is not for you). This is a senior position that requires deep technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver complex systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and develop a robust SaaS platform on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS, RDS, VPCs, and Redis.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that include AWS services + back-end code, networking, firewalls, VPNs, certificates etc. You must be able to figure things out when other have no clue where to begin.Design and implement solutions, drawing from existing infrastructure used in security solutions such as firewalls API gateways.Implement the devops function in the company and operate the system.Make informed decisions on technology choices and ensure robust implementation in categories such as high-availability, troubleshooting capabilities, security and more.Show and support team members and teach them how to make things work.Build POCs and skeletons of systems that can be used as a starting point by the development teams.Experience:
At least 7 years experience.Must have startup experience.Proven hands-on experience in building and deploying SaaS platforms on AWS.Deep knowledge of AWS services, particularly ECS, RDS, and Redis.Very strong and hands-on devops knowledge in an AWS environment using Terraform, CloudFormation and other AWS tools.Strong background in networking and security, for example experience with API gateways and firewalls.Demonstrated ability to architect solutions, make technology choices, and implement best practices.Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with aggressive goals.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Ability to deliver robust and long-lasting solutions to complex and difficult tasks very quickly.Ability to pick up new technologies, libraries, code and architectures very quickly and be able to "make it work" independently (and then show others how to continue).Must have built systems used by enterprises, preferably information security solutions. You must understand well what enterprises consume, how they consume it and have architected and built systems used by enterprises,NOTE: You must have done all these things yourself, in a very hands-on way.
