Position Overview:
As a Full Stack / Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing server-side logic, APIs, and backend systems using Python microservices. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and data scientists to build scalable, secure, and maintainable software powering mission-critical workflows.
The ideal candidate is passionate about clean architecture, performance, and backend scalability, with experience in full stack environments and a solid understanding of modern software practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Code Quality & Architecture
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Follow SOLID principles, domain-driven design, and modular architecture practices.
• Refactor legacy systems and contribute to backend modernization efforts.
Collaboration & DevOps
• Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and ML teams to ship features end-to-end.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Ensure observability and traceability through proper logging and monitoring.
• Proactively communicate challenges and work collaboratively to resolve them.
Continuous Learning & Innovation
• Stay up to date with backend, infrastructure, and DevOps best practices.
• Explore emerging technologies and propose improvements.
• Take ownership of assigned features and see them through production deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
Qualifications:
• Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems using Python microservices with event-driven architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with real-time messaging and data streaming technologies (Kafka, Redis Pub/Sub, Redis Streams, RabbitMQ, or similar).
• Proven expertise in architecting event-driven systems using real-time messaging and data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis Streams.
• Proven expertise in asynchronous task processing with distributed task queues (Celery, RQ, or similar).
• Deep experience building high-performance REST APIs with modern Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
• Solid experience orchestrating complex ETL workflows and data pipelines using workflow engines (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar).
• Strong understanding of caching strategies and message broker systems.
• Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker across multiple environments.
• Ability to tune and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) for high-throughput operations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
