We’re launching a brand-new enterprise automation capability, and we’re looking for someone who loves turning messy, manual processes into elegant, scalable automations.
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you won’t just “build bots.” You’ll own automation end-to-end — spotting opportunities, designing smart solutions, shipping production-ready automations, and making sure they run smoothly long after launch.
You’ll work with modern automation tools, custom code, APIs, and AI, partnering closely with business teams, IT, and leadership. If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and real impact, this role is for you.
🧰 Your Automation Playground
• RPA / UI Automation: UiPath, Power Automate Desktop, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism
• Workflow & Integration: Power Automate (cloud), APIs, logic automation
• Browser Automation & Code: Selenium, Playwright, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#
• AI for Automation: OCR, IDP, NLP, classification & extraction
• Custom Builds: Scripts, microservices, reusable automation libraries
🎯 What You’ll Actually Do
🔍 Discover & Design
• Work with business experts to find automation opportunities worth building.
• Break down complex workflows, exceptions, and edge cases.
• Decide how to automate — RPA, workflow, APIs, AI, or a smart hybrid.
🛠 Build & Automate
• Develop solid, production-ready automations (not fragile bots).
• Automate multi-step processes like supplier onboarding and web portals.
• Integrate with Microsoft 365 and enterprise SaaS tools.
• Create reusable components so the next automation is faster and better.
🚦 Deploy, Run & Monitor
• Push automations through dev → test → prod like a pro.
• Configure attended, unattended, and hybrid runs.
• Set up monitoring, alerts, logs, and diagnostics.
• Handle credentials, permissions, and security responsibly.
🔄 DevOps & Standards
• Use Git for version control and collaboration.
• Build CI/CD pipelines to test and deploy with confidence.
• Help define automation best practices, standards, and documentation.
📈 Improve & Communicate
• Tune automations for performance, reliability, and scale.
• Troubleshoot production issues and fix root causes.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders (yes, even the non-technical ones).
• Help the organization actually adopt automation — not just admire it.
✅ What You Bring
• 5+ years of real-world automation experience (RPA, scripting, browser automation, APIs).
• Strong experience automating dynamic web applications.
• Coding/scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
• Comfort working with APIs, auth, JSON/XML, and data transformations.
• Solid DevOps habits (Git, pipelines, testing).
• Excellent English communication skills.
• A problem-solver mindset and strong debugging skills
💙 What We Offer
• Competitive salaries with comprehensive health and dental benefits
• Wellness amenities including an onsite gym, fitness studio, and comfortable employee lounge
• Group RRSP plan to help you invest in your future
• Onsite medical clinic and access to telemedicine
• Daily shuttle service from two downtown locations, with shuttle service access near a bus station
• Subsidized employee café serving delicious meals and snacks
