Lixin & Ethos CPAs LLP is a fast-growing, Vancouver-based CPA firm providing audit, review, compilation and tax services. Our audit practice is led by former Big Four audit partners who remain actively involved in engagement planning, technical review, and key client discussions.
We specialize in audits of public listed companies reporting under IFRS and U.S. GAAP, performed in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) and PCAOB standards. As a growing firm, we offer senior team members direct partner access, meaningful responsibility, and exposure to complex public-company audit matters, without excessive internal layers or overtime commonly found at larger firms.
Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Senior Auditor or Junior Audit Manager (based on experience) to lead external audits for publicly listed companies reporting under IFRS or U.S. GAAP, in accordance with CAS and/or PCAOB standards.
This role is ideal for an auditor with strong technical skills who wants meaningful responsibility and exposure to complex public-company audits, while working within a well-managed engagement structure that supports sustainable workloads and reasonable work-life balance.
This role is part of our public company audit practice and does not involve tax or compilation work.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage public company audit engagements from planning through completion
• Review and assess financial statements prepared under IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP
• Ensure audits comply with CAS and, where applicable, PCAOB standards
• Supervise and mentor junior staff; review working papers and key audit areas
• Communicate directly with CFOs, controllers, and audit committees
• Work closely with partners on technical issues, audit strategy, and client matters
Qualifications & Experience
• CPA designation required — Canada, U.S., or China (any one is acceptable)
• Good standing with the relevant professional body Experience
• 3–6+ years of external audit experience
• Direct experience auditing public companies (TSX / TSX-V / U.S. listed)
• Strong exposure to IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP
• Experience under CAS and/or PCAOB standards
