About the Role
The Senior AI Security Engineer is a technical authority dedicated to securing enterprise AI and machine learning systems throughout their lifecycle, covering data ingestion, model training, inference pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and generative AI applications. Your insights will guide advanced security assessments, address vulnerabilities unique to AI platforms, and design secure-by-design solutions for cloud and hybrid environments.
Collaborating extensively with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, MLOps, data engineering, and AI teams, you will develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive data and model artifacts from evolving threats. As a leading contributor, your influence will shape security architectures, enhance AI-specific threat detection strategies, mentor engineers, and reinforce our organization's AI security posture.
• Design and implement secure deployment models for AI, ML, and generative systems in cloud and hybrid settings.
• Conduct in-depth AI security testing, simulating adversarial ML attacks and RAG manipulation assessments.
• Identify and address vulnerabilities in model-serving infrastructures, feature stores, and embedding pipelines.
• Create guardrails and access controls for LLM- and RAG-based applications to ensure safety.
• Automate tools to identify misconfigurations and data exposure risks in AI pipelines.
• Partner with cloud and DevOps teams to secure Kubernetes clusters and GPU workloads.
• Analyze logs and model outputs to detect anomalies or malicious activities.
• Implement encryption and IAM policies for AI workloads.
• Lead architecture reviews for AI features and platforms.
• Document risk assessments, threat models, and compliance artifacts.
• Engage in AI-specific incident response and analysis.
• Evaluate emerging AI security technologies.
• Support enterprise adoption of responsible AI and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cloud security posture management.
Qualifications
• 4+ years in cybersecurity, cloud security, ML engineering, or DevSecOps.
• Experience securing AI/ML systems in production.
• Solid understanding of ML pipelines and AI system components.
• In-depth knowledge of adversarial ML attacks and countermeasures.
• Proficient in Python and security testing tools.
• Adept at risk assessment across distributed services and APIs.
• Excellent communication skills and technical judgment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or AI.
• Relevant security and cloud certifications.
• Expertise in securing AI platforms on Azure.
• Experience with container security practices.
• Experience with secrets management solutions.
• Knowledge of zero-trust architecture principles.
• Familiarity with generative AI security techniques.
• Experience designing secure patterns for AI systems.
