We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to support the delivery of agile initiatives within the life insurance sector. This role requires a passionate individual who can foster a collaborative team environment, facilitate agile best practices, and guide cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating all elements of the Scrum framework, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will work closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and alignment with business goals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of agile methodologies, particularly within an Life insurance or financial services environment. You will be expected to coach teams on agile principles, remove impediments that may hinder progress, and continuously seek ways to improve team efficiency and product delivery.
Key responsibilities:
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and ensure team adherence to agile frameworks
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to prioritise and refine backlogs
• Identify and remove barriers affecting team productivity and progress
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and agile best practices
• Ensure clear communication and alignment across all levels of the organisation
• Provide coaching and support to team members and stakeholders on agile values and principles
• Track and analyse key metrics to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement
• Promote transparency and visibility of project progress and potential risks
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Scrum Master role, ideally within life insurance or financial services
• Strong understanding of agile and Scrum methodologies
• Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
