The Multimedia System Standards team at InterDigital Video Lab is a team of highly motivated, fast paced, and highly skilled researchers with strong backgrounds in media storage and streaming, video processing, and virtual reality. Our areas of expertise encompass video and immersive media systems, including virtual reality streaming systems, video-on-demand streaming, video broadcasting and multicasting, real-time interactive video applications, and optimized video delivery over wireless networks. We are seeking a Multimedia System Standards Engineer to join the team.
Document and present novel media streaming technologies and implementations in various forms, such as standards contributions, conference and journal publications, technical white papers, patent applications, etc.
Develop system solutions to support emerging applications such as Machine Learning compressed media and formats, AI/ML or XR services, with a focus on driving optimized multimedia experience.
Masters’ or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
• Proficient in C++ and C programming.
• Available and willing to travel.
• Fluent in English
• Willing and motivated to learn French if not French speaker
