Overview: We are seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officers to join our team at a high-volume retail location in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe environment, providing excellent customer service, and responding calmly and effectively to various situations.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor store entrances, exits, and sales floors to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity through professional presence and observation
• Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior areas
• Assist store management with incident reporting and documentation
• Respond to security-related incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
• Provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff
• Follow all company policies, protocols, and post orders
Requirements:
• Valid NYS Security Guard License preferred; if held, it must be valid and not expired
• Prior retail or security experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts
• Must be able to handle situations calmly and responsibly
