Synopsis
The Resource Allocation & Optimization Specialist is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of the Resource Allocation & Optimization System (GS Realtime). The role acts as a subject matter expert, providing system oversight, user support, and driving continuous improvement in resource planning, data integrity, and allocation accuracy.
The Resource Allocation & Optimization Specialist serves as the key link between operational teams, IT, and system vendors, ensuring system capabilities align with business needs while supporting data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
Accountabilities
• Act as the lead subject matter expert for GS Realtime ensuring that GS Realtime is providing solutions in line with operational expectations and contractual obligations.
• Provide advanced user support, troubleshooting, and guidance to GS Realtime users across departments.
• Maintain system data, configuration and rules.
• Collaborate with IT and system vendor to resolve technical issues, implement system updates and improvements.
• Train and develop system end users to maintain proficiency and standards.
• Monitor data quality in the system and lead end users to deliver consistently accurate resource and task information.
• Support reporting and innovation department to deliver custom reports, dashboards and utilization metrics utilizing GS Realtime data.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements to deliver better efficiency or operational performance.
• Participate in end-to-end testing and validation of new features or integrations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to resource data.
• Deputies for Manager, Resource Allocation & Optimization as required.
Education & Experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a GS Realtime Superuser/Administrator.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Information Systems (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in resource management or operations optimization.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity and system accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operational environment, supporting multiple teams and priorities
