As a Research Scientist specialized in Machine Learning on our team, you will contribute to developing advanced ML and AI technologies that effectively connect users with businesses. Your work will propel the next generation of large-scale platforms and AI innovations, particularly in enhancing Ads-ranking across Meta's diverse digital surfaces. Key Responsibilities: • Develop scalable classifiers and tools utilizing Machine Learning, data regression, and rules-based models. • Collect and synthesize requirements to establish an effective feature roadmap. • Adapt standard Machine Learning methods to optimize performance in modern parallel environments (e.g., distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU). • Lead and contribute to innovative research that culminates in industry-leading technology demonstrations and publications. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to drive Meta's product development efforts. Minimum Qualifications: • Pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant technical field, with completion expected before joining Meta. • Experience in Deep Learning algorithms and techniques such as convolutional neural networks (CNN), transformers, quantization, and data-efficient learning. Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated research and software engineering experience through internships, work experience, coding competitions, or notable contributions in open-source projects. • A strong track record of impactful achievements such as grants, fellowships, patents, and first-authored publications at major workshops or conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI). • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment. • Experience in Data Efficient Learning, domain adaptation, Semi-supervised Learning, and related areas. • Familiarity with architectural patterns used in large-scale software applications. • Proficiency in analyzing and manipulating complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from diverse sources. • Ability to navigate complex problem-solving scenarios, weighing alternatives and trade-offs to determine optimal solutions.
