Overview
Job Title: Efficacy of AI Chatbots in Promoting Mental Wellbeing among University Students in the UAE: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Responsibilities
Collect and process large datasets (e.g., Reddit, PAN-12) relevant to child maltreatment detection.
Implement and evaluate state-of-the-art Large Language Models (GPT-4, GPT-3.5, Claude, LLaMA-2, LLaMA-3).
Conduct language profiling to identify early warning signs.
Analyze linguistic and conversational cues related to mental health indicators.
Train participants on safe and effective chatbot usage.
Design, implement, and evaluate interventions, including preliminary and follow-up analyses.
Conduct comparative quantitative analyses of mental health outcomes using metrics such as precision-recall curves, Cohen’s kappa, and sensitivity analysis.
Collaborate on writing and dissemination of findings.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.

Expected Skills
Experience working in interdisciplinary collaboration across AI and psychology
Experience with chatbot development or AI in healthcare, AI model implementation, particularly NLP and LLMs.
Experience with digital mental health tools
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R) and familiarity with APIs and cloud computing.
Knowledgeable in AI ethics and data security practices
Strong analytical and quantitative research skills.
Publication records or previous contributions to academic manuscripts
Fluent in English; excellent written and oral communication skills (Arabic is a plus)
