Your Role: As a mid-level Refrigeration Systems Design Engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will leverage your expertise across various sectors including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Your role will merge engineering principles with real-world applications to deliver outstanding client experiences. Key Responsibilities: • Independently conduct calculations and design both fundamental and advanced engineering systems. • Create comprehensive drawings, layouts, and schematics for electrical systems. • Review shop drawings for adherence to plans and specifications. • Perform research and evaluate the feasibility of systems or equipment, assessing products for suitability in applications. • Build and nurture relationships with strategic partners and clients to bolster business development initiatives. • Commit to continual learning in industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office applications. • Engage in project coordination activities such as facilitating communications, coordinating project scope and schedule, attending client meetings, and ensuring high project quality. • Serve as a resource for training and assisting colleagues whenever required. Required Qualifications: Mid-Level: • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering preferred with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant experience without a degree. A PE license may account for 1 year of experience. • Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu. Experienced Level: • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering preferred with 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree. A PE license may account for 1 year of experience. • Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu. Preferred Qualifications: • At least 1 year of commercial project design experience in mechanical/HVAC and refrigeration. • Current Professional Engineering (PE) license. • Completion of the FE exam and LEED and/or WELL accreditation is advantageous. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of engineering design, industry codes, design guides, and standards.
