Design Systems Designer (Contract-to-Hire) — NYC Hybrid Only
Location:
Hybrid – Must be able to travel into the NYC office 3 times a week (Tuesday-Thursday)
Duration: 6–12 months
Conversion to FTE: Yes (high likelihood)
Department: Design & Product Experience
Max Rate: $40 - $48/hr w2
Required (Must-Have) Skills
• Proven experience with enterprise design systems (components, patterns, foundations)
• Strong Figma expertise (component libraries, variants, documentation)
• Close collaboration with front-end engineers on scalable, component-based UI
• Ability to work independently and clearly communicate design decisions
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA)
• Understanding of responsive design and design-to-code workflows
• NYC-local and able to work hybrid onsite 3 days/week
Desired (Nice-to-Have) Skills
• Experience with AI-assisted design tools or workflows
• Background in enterprise, regulated, or financial services environments
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager)
