Our Exciting Opportunity:
Ericsson Radio Product development is responsible for all aspects of new feature development: systemization, design, coding and testing of radio software to create new capabilities and satisfy customer needs. Candidates can expect a technical role with influence on product design. If you are selected for this position, you will work in an Agile environment as part of a cross-functional systems, hardware and software team (XFT) combining efforts to deliver world class 5G and Open RAN radio products. Work tasks will include some or all of the following (depending on the work assignment for the XFT):
What you will do:
Developing radio production softwareDeveloping automated test cases to secure new/legacy functionalityTroubleshooting and contributing to resolution of issues uncovered during testingWorking with the team, and on your own, to perform software/hardware integration testing in the labBuilding up radio software architecture and radio access technology knowledgeReviewing software designs and test plansUnderstanding radio software development way of working and CI/CD development environment
The skills you bring:
Student in a B.Sc. or M. Sc. program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalentActively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, or Master’s, on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internshipBe available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op termStrong object-oriented programming skills and relevant experienceStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsProactive, motivated, organized and efficientStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment
You might also have:
Basic Knowledge of wireless communication standards would be beneficialStrong C/C++, Java/Python programming skill and experience would be an assetHand-on experiences on AI/ML projects, Front-end/Back-end development, AWS, and Kubernetes will be an assetKnowledge of AI/ML would be an assetKnowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban would be an assetUnderstanding of Software design patterns would be an asset

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
Bachelors $25.50 to $34.50 CAD
Masters $37.00 CAD
