Are you passionate about quality and precision? We're seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Tester to join our client's team and ensure the reliability of critical government systems operating in secure environments.
This is an exciting opportunity to start with comprehensive functional testing and progressively develop your expertise in test automation. You'll work with cutting-edge enterprise automation tools and contribute to the Government's cloud-first strategy while maintaining the highest governance standards.
What You'll Do
Functional Testing & Quality Assurance
· Design and execute comprehensive functional, system, and regression tests
· Create well-structured test cases from requirements with full traceability
· Partner with project teams to define test objectives and acceptance criteria
· Manage test data and environments while capturing evidence for compliance
· Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
· Report quality metrics and test results to stakeholders
· Build reusable regression test suites for future automation
Test Automation Development
· Develop modular, reusable automated test cases using enterprise tools (Tosca, Selenium, Playwright)
· Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks
· Support migration to cloud-based testing environments
· Track automation coverage and quality metrics
· Establish best practices and component libraries
Document automated scripts and execution results
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
· 3–5 years of software testing experience with strong functional testing background
· Proven ability to design comprehensive test cases from requirements
· Excellent documentation skills aligned with governance standards
· Experience with (or readiness to learn) enterprise automation tools
· Working knowledge of SQL for test data management
· Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#)
· Experience with API testing and validation
· Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
· Ability to work effectively in secure, restricted environments
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bonus Points
· Testing certifications (ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Tosca)
· CI/CD pipeline and cloud environment experience
· Performance testing knowledge
· Version control (Git) and Agile methodology experience
· Government, public sector, or regulated industry background
