Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with a specialization in PostgreSQL and MongoDB . This role focuses on cloud and hybrid database environments , ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
You will play a key role in database administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, while working closely with developers, cloud engineers, and IT teams to support critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases in cloud and hybrid environments
• Monitor database performance, implement optimizations, and ensure high availability
• Manage database security, backup, and recovery strategies
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support for development and production environments
• Implement database automation, scaling, and patching procedures
• Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams to support business needs
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and standards
Job Requirements:
Education:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Certifications in databases or data management are advantageous
Experience & Skills:
• Hands-on experience administering PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases
• Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and replication
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, Bash, or equivalent)
• Understanding of security and compliance best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
• Experience with database monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
• Experience with NoSQL databases beyond MongoDB
