The Provincial Clinical Viewer Project aims to consolidate three disparate clinical viewers into a single provincial solution, improving efficiency and enabling integrated access to reliable electronic patient data across the continuum of care. This initiative supports better clinical decision-making, standardized integration, and timely access to health information for patients and providers. Role Overview As a Senior System Testing / QA Specialist, you will lead quality assurance activities, including creating and executing automated test suites for UI and APIs, functional testing, and defect management. Your work ensures the delivery of a high-quality, scalable solution for provincial healthcare systems. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and scenarios for UI and API testing. • Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Selenium. • Create and run manual and automated test cases for UI screens and APIs. • Perform functional and integration testing across non-production environments. • Generate and validate complex test data using automated tools. • Log, track, and manage defects in JIRA; produce detailed test execution reports. • Collaborate with QA Lead, PM, IT Lead, and BA to ensure quality standards. • Conduct smoke/sanity tests for deployments and environment stability. • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and train QA team members. • Work within Agile-Scrum and DevOps/CICD methodologies. • Comprehensive test strategy and plan. • Automated and manual test scripts for UI and APIs. • Defect reports and test execution summaries. • Knowledge transfer documentation for the Provincial Viewer Program. Must-Have Qualifications • 7+ years in automation testing. • Advanced experience in UI automation using Java and Selenium. • Strong skills in API automation (RESTful services) with tools like Postman, SOAPUI, ReadyAPI. • Familiarity with authentication/authorization testing (Certs, SAML, JWT). • Proficiency in Agile-Scrum, test planning, and defect management in JIRA. • Expertise in automation frameworks and debugging test environments. Desired Skills • Experience with GitHub and UAT support. • Knowledge of healthcare systems and HL7 FHIR standards (preferred).
