Role : QA SDET - Backend testing (API / AWS / )

Job Responsibilities
Build and maintain backend API test automation covering :
Functional testing
Integration testing
Performance and load testing
Validate multi-step document generation and location resolution workflows.
Create mocks for external product / rate services to support isolated testing.
Design and manage dynamic test data strategies .
Implement negative and error-injection scenarios including :
Timeouts
Missing or invalid metadata
Measure analyze and report performance baselines ; tune test harnesses for accuracy.
Validate application logging and metrics using AWS CloudWatch and OpenSearch .
Collaborate closely with developers on TDD story refinement and test strategy.
Provide ongoing quality metrics reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate actively in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and QA best practices.
Must-Have Skills
810 years of overall IT experience with 35 years in backend QA automation .
Strong experience in backend API automation testing .
Hands-on experience testing AWS services including :
AWS Lambda
API Gateway
DynamoDB
Strong scripting experience for test automation.
Experience with API testing tools including Postman (custom scripts) .
Exposure to performance and load testing tools and methodologies.
Solid understanding of test data management and mocking strategies .
Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams with TDD collaboration .
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience validating observability and monitoring including :
AWS CloudWatch
OpenSearch
Strong discipline in test data mocking and service virtualization .
Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices testing patterns.
