IDR is seeking a QA Engineer III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Montreal, Quebec. This role is within a software development environment focused on delivering high-quality web and API solutions. Position Overview for the QA Engineer III:
• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI and API testing
• Develop and execute automated test cases using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Rest-Assured, Postman, and SoapUI
• Identify, analyze, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and ensure high-quality releases
• Re-run automated and regression tests to confirm defect resolution and prevent new issues
Requirements for the QA Engineer III:
• Strong proficiency in modern Java, including object-oriented principles, design patterns (Builder, Factory, etc.), collections, and streams
• Hands-on experience with Maven for dependency management, profiles, and running test cycles
• Proven experience with Playwright for Java or Selenium to automate web UI tests
• Ability to implement and utilize the Page Object Model (POM) for creating maintainable UI tests
• Hands-on API testing experience with Rest-Assured, Postman, and SoapUI, including executing collections via Newman
