Title: Python Architect
Location: Houston, TX (Monday, Wednesday & Friday onsite)
Duration: 12 months (high possibility of extension)

Role is primarily hands-on.80% hands-on development20% architectureResponsibilities include:Owning application development end-to-endBackend-heavy development (Python preferred - doesn't have to be 10/10, 5/10 is still acceptable)Working with cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS)Collaborating with data engineers and business stakeholdersCI/CD, deployment, security, and integrationFrontend is minimal, it’s ok even if they don’t have; backend strength is more important.Long-term potential to grow into a Solution Architect role
Current Need

Evaluate, configure, and utilize Azure components such as:
Azure App Service, AKS or Azure Functions
Azure SQL Database, Azure PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB
Azure Storage, Data Lake
Event Hub, IoT Hub, Service Bus
Azure Data Factory / Synapse pipelines
Azure Monitor / Application Insights / Log Analytics
Continuously explore new Azure capabilities and recommend improvements to the existing architecture.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
10+ years of professional software development experience, including:
Significant hands-on Python development (APIs, services, data processing).
3+ years designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Strong experience with:
RESTful API design and implementation.
Relational databases (SQL) and data modeling.
Source control (Git) and modern branching strategies.
CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, etc.).
Proven ability to independently deliver end‑to‑end features: design, code, test, deploy, and support.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders (preferably in manufacturing/operations).
