Job Description Your Role The Product Manager, Consultant will be part of the Digital Member Engagement and Experience team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management. In this role, you will use your Product Management expertise to connect clinical and product strategies, creating value-driven roadmaps, while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. You will be responsible for managing product development deliverables, such as detailed requirement documentation, data analytics, member journeys, line of business analytics, design reviews, product reviews, implementation, and delivery. Your role is vital in leveraging digital technologies to guide members toward cost-effective, high-quality healthcare services, in alignment with our mission to enhance health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs through effective digital interventions and digital engagement initiatives that personalize member experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with proven experience developing and launching product strategies, particularly within digital health platforms. Collaboration with clinicians, marketing, and healthcare leaders is vital, along with effectively linking clinical strategy to member engagement goals. Responsibilities Your Work In this role, you will: • Develop and manage a comprehensive digital roadmap that supports our future vision around clinical engagement, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation to member needs and industry trends • Develop and refine use cases, user stories, and member journey concepts to guide the design and implementation of cross-channel care journeys, including working with marketing and content strategy teams to develop digital messaging, email, in-app content and chatbot interactions • Analyze KPIs at a product level to establish experience success, failures, and next steps through iteration • Provide experience with segmentation models, next best action frameworks, and tailoring messages by risk level or program eligibility • Manage product development deliverables, such as detailed requirement documentation, data analytics, member journeys, line of business analytics, design reviews, product reviews, implementation, and delivery • Create and present business cases for investments in personalization solutions that align to our team's goals and advance cost of health care initiatives • Ensure all digital engagement initiatives comply with healthcare regulations and privacy standards, maintaining the highest levels of data integrity and security • Report regularly to senior management and stakeholders on the progress, impact, and strategic adjustments of digital personalization initiatives • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team Qualifications Your Knowledge and Experience • Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, public health, information technology, or related field; graduate degree (e.g. MBA) is highly desirable • Requires at least 6 years of prior relevant experience in Product Management, Management Consulting or related business area • Requires ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams without authority • Requires ability to perform as a product area subject matter expert (SME) to educate others about the product • Experience related to product management including proven ability to lead research initiatives, define strategic roadmaps, craft detailed epics, analyze complex data sets, and manage backlog priorities effectively • Experience in digital product management for clinical platforms • Experience working on digital health platforms (Electronic Medical Records like Epic/Cerner, disease management platforms, care management platforms, etc.) is a plus • Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills, including written communications About the Team About Blue Shield of California As of January 2025, Blue Shield of California became a subsidiary of Ascendiun.
