Position Overview
Product Data Scientist (Remote – US & Canada). We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist to help develop scalable data-driven solutions that enhance player understanding, foster safe and secure online communities, and optimize the overall player experience. In this role, you’ll innovate and expand our game analytics tooling by collaborating with data professionals, application engineers, and various stakeholders to create functionality that serves both gamers and game developers. Key Responsibilities
• Comb through large sets of game telemetry data to uncover player relationships, feature usage trends, security threats, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve the player or developer experience.
• Design and test innovative solutions to improve new player retention through data-driven insights and automation.
• Develop novel solutions to identify, surface, and mitigate non-human bot activity.
• Translate data-driven insights into product features to automate and share innovations.
• Deliver presentations to explain discoveries from data models.
Required Qualifications
• Passion for video games – be a gamer who thinks on behalf of players.
• Curious, self-starting problem solver who is comfortable taking risks, navigating ambiguity, and iteratively refining problem spaces.
• Proven ability to lead projects across multiple workgroups while coordinating development efforts.
• 3+ years of experience applying Data Science methodologies to product development.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical methods, including classical ML, deep learning, NLP, and anomaly detection.
• Expertise in experimental design, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and clustering.
• Proficiency in writing clean, efficient code in Python, Java, or Typescript.
• Experience writing optimized SQL to build and analyze datasets.
• Familiarity with modern Cloud Platforms (preferably GCP) and big data processing tools like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Spark, and Beam.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data solutions.
• Willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and move outside of your comfort zone.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kubernetes and Open Source tooling.
• Knowledge of Graph Databases or Matchmaking systems.
• Familiarity with analysis of 3D event data.
• Background in developing data-driven SaaS products.
• Experience in the video gaming industry or in a startup-like environment.
• Interest in technical writing and sharing your work.

• Compensation: $140,000 USD to $180,000 USD annually with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
