Job Title: MYSQL/Maria Database Administration

Job Description:
5+ years of IT experience in MYSQL or MariaDB Database Administration, System Analysis, Design, Support of MYSQL Server in the Production Environment.
The person should be able to administer MYSQL running on Ubuntu or Red Hat Linux platform, setup Replication, Cluster Server environments, performance analysis and be part of development team.
• Should have experience in Installation and Configuration and upgrading of MYSQL Server version 5.6 and above on Linux platform.
• Should be able to do Performance Tuning, Query Optimization and Supported backend SQL and Databases applications on Linux platform.
• Should have good Knowledge of MYSQL Server Clustering, Replication, and Conduct a walkthrough of database design including the entire architecture, physical logical schema, selection of storage engines innoDB, MyISAM , NDBCLUSTER , coding of stored procedures triggers prior to deploying solution.
• Should have expertise in planning and implementing MySQL Server security, database permissions, Backup/Recovery, Client/Server Connectivity and running Database Consistency Checks.
• Should be knowledgable in MYSQL Server, PL/SQL, SQL Stored Procedures, Cursors, Views, Triggers and Indexes and have in-depth experience in creating Jobs Alerts, SQL Mail Agent, and automating Packages.
• Should be able to troubleshoot, resolve, provide root cause analysis and document solutions to complex problems. Design and create databases, schemas, tablespaces, tables, stored procedures, triggers and more, by using DML, DDL, DRL, TCL and DCL SQL syntaxes on MySQL DBMS
• Should have experience in Database Backup, developed backup and recovery scripts using UNIX shell, performed database Tuning - Set initialization parameters, optimized file I/O, and tuned the physical model by optimizing and reorganizing the schema.
• Should be able to demonstrate expertise in utilizing load data in file tool, MYSQLdump, MYSQLhotcopy, MYSQLimport for data migration , Data Transformation Services DTS , and Data Stage in RDBM systems in MYSQL Servers.
• Should have worked on all phases of database development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing, implementation, and support.
• Would prefer the candidate to have administered web applications on different platforms using Apache / Tomcat web servers.
