We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design, develop and implement automation control systems for industrial processes and warehouse distribution equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in engineering principles, programming and control system technologies with a focus on maximizing the reliability and performance of conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print-and-apply systems and SCADA devices. Responsibilities include designing and developing control systems and software, maintaining and troubleshooting automation equipment, governing all automation documentation and change management processes, collaborating with operations, engineering and support teams to optimize material handling systems and delivering projects.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent plus 5 years of PLC-controlled automation experience including Ladder Logic and structured programming. Leadership experience in directing, training and mentoring automation engineers is also required. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, policy interpretation and a continuous improvement mindset.
