Linux/AIX and container platforms Engineer - Riyadh - Open to Saudi Nationals only
We are working with a leading IT consultancy on hiring for a long-term, full-time role to architect and lead operations infrastructure services for a critical project.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect & manage enterprise Linux (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE) systems and AIX (pSeries, LPARs, VIO, PowerVM) platforms.
• Lead virtualization and hybrid infrastructure (KVM/VMware) operations.
• Automate OS deployments, patching & configurations using Ansible, SaltStack.
• Integrate systems with security/compliance tools (CIS hardening, SIEM).
• Analyze performance bottlenecks, lead DR failover/failback exercises.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, CMDB integrity.
Qualifications & skills required
• 6+ yrs infra experience, 2+ yrs in a similar role.
• Extensive Linux internals, kernel tuning expertise.
• Deep AIX experience (PowerHA, PowerVM, NIM, VIO).
• Experience with virtualization (KVM/VMware), hybrid IT environments.
• Proficient in automation (Ansible, SaltStack).
