Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently packing, loading, and preparing products for shipment while ensuring accuracy and safety. This role is essential to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and delivering excellent service to our customers. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with heavy equipment operation are highly valued.
Duties
• Carefully pack products according to specifications, ensuring items are secure for transport
• Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes
• Operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and order pickers, adhering to safety protocols
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying orders and documentation
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and update records accurately
• Assist with order picking, ensuring correct items are selected for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing and shipping goals
• Perform heavy lifting as needed to handle large or bulky items
Experience
• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related construction environments preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker operation required
• Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes is a plus
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and heavy lifting techniques
• Warehouse experience involving load & unload operations highly desirable
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
