About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, enhance, and manage our automated testing ecosystem. You will own the automation framework, ensure high-quality releases through robust testing strategies, and lead the QA team in delivering consistent and reliable results. This role combines hands-on automation work, team leadership, and close collaboration with development stakeholders.
• Architect, enhance, and sustain automated testing frameworks built on Appium and Selenium, ensuring strong test coverage and dependable daily execution.
• Embed automated tests into the CI/CD workflow so that test suites run consistently throughout each stage of development.
• Direct the QA team in carrying out a variety of test types, including smoke, sanity, regression, and performance tests.
• Coordinate testing schedules, allocate team resources, and ensure smooth execution of planned test cycles.
• Monitor the team’s output to uphold uniform testing standards and reduce the likelihood of defects reaching production.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of test cases and defects using tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
• Compile clear and concise test summaries and reports to provide actionable insights for engineering teams.
• Partner closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and maintain a healthy feedback loop.
• Establish and maintain clear guidelines for defect prioritization, escalation, and triage.
What are we looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or C#.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, OOP, and SOLID principles.
• Hands-on experience with Appium, Selenium, and TDD methodologies.
• Experience using Jira for task and bug tracking and Confluence for documentation.
