The Xcode team provides the tools to develop software for Appleu2019s innovative iOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS and macOS platforms. As tools are our products, software engineers on the Xcode team have the unique and rewarding opportunity to apply personal experience to enhance and augment the tools they use every day.
The Xcode team is looking for a diligent and focused Quality Engineer with the curiosity to find bugs, and a deep knowledge in tools and automation.
• *Description**
Weu2019re looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented and self-motivated individual, excellent at communicating with other teams about the health of their parts of the IDE. Youu2019ll be paired with a tool development team, and work with them to extend their automated testing to help ship a high quality Xcode.
Youu2019ll have the opportunity to build shared APIs for testing, and be challenged to come up with testing strategies that improve coverage of your component with minimal manual intervention.

• *Minimum Qualifications**
Strong object-oriented programming experience, preferably in Swift or Objective-C
Experience in iOS or macOS development using Xcode
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a passion for quality
Experience in writing automation tests at various levels, including unit, API, UI, and non-UI

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $104,000 and $186,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple Inc.u2019s discretionary employee stock programs.
