With more than 1,100 beds and approximately 12,000 staff members, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region.- From the compassion of our people to the relentless pursuit of new discoveries, The Ottawa Hospital never stops seeking solutions to the most complex health-care challenges while continually engaging with the community to support our vision for better patient care. - Working together with its research institute, the University of Ottawa, and other partners, the hospital is continually gaining national and international recognition for high-quality patient care, teaching and research, while striving to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community we serve. - What you will bring- Community College Diploma or Undergraduate; - Degree in Computer Science or other equivalent; - combination of education and experience; - Industry certification or equivalent experience; - Three (3) to Five (5) years of broad network experience; - High Degree of hands-on experience in configuration and support, of Cisco Enterprise class switching/routing equipment (e.g. 6500/Sup720; 3850, etc.), Cisco Nexus 9000 (NX-OS & ACI), Cisco IOS and QoS; - Knowledge and experience with content switching and load balancing equipment; - Experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower firewall administration and Installation and support; - Good understanding of Wide Area Networking; Routing, MPLS, and Routing protocols EIGRP, BGP, OSPF; - Knowledge and experience (2-4 years) with RF technology and 802.11 Wi-Fi wireless networking; - High degree of technical skill in state-of-the-art communications networks (hardware, operating systems, communications and support services); - High degree and experience with implementation and troubleshooting network protocols and components; Wireshark trace analysis and troubleshooting; - Project management skills; - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities; - Strong organizational and time management skills; - Strong oral and written communication skills. - You will stand out with: - Hands on experience with basic Cisco ACI; - Configuration using the Cisco APIC. Configure EPG's, BD, L2Out/L3out, PBR, Contracts; - Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification; Knowledge and experience with Citrix content switching and load balancing equipment; - Experience with the implementation and support of the Aruba Wireless products; - ITIL v4 foundation knowledge and certification; - Experience in the creation of detailed network configuration/design of networking solutions to meet ongoing business requirements. - What you can expect from us- The Ottawa Hospital is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment for everyone.
