Role Overview
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and administering IT infrastructure including hardware software and network systems at the royal estates of Abu Dhabi. This on-site role ensures secure reliable and high-performance network operations and requires expertise in troubleshooting disaster recovery and systems security.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage computer networks and associated computing environments
• Administer systems software applications hardware and configurations
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Implement and monitor network security protocols
• Troubleshoot and resolve network system and hardware/software issues
• Replace and maintain faulty hardware as needed
• Configure and monitor antivirus and email systems
• Monitor network performance and optimize system configurations
• Collaborate with users to resolve technical issues and improve efficiency
• Operate system consoles to monitor network health and uptime
• Manage user access and network usage policies
• Design test and configure network software hardware and OS platforms
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by IT management
Must-Have Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of full-time experience as a Network Engineer/Administrator
• Cisco certifications: CCNA CCNP or CCIE
• Proficiency in TCP/IP FortiGate firewalls and Juniper switches
• Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE 4 5 or 6)
• Hands‑on experience with HP Fortinet or Cisco network equipment
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Nice‑to‑Have
• Experience working in high‑profile VVIP or secure environments
• Additional certifications in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure
