Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Level Cloud Architect to join the Global Architecture team and shape the strategic vision across a portfolio of cloud-hosted products, including next-generation SaaS platforms. This position focuses on modern cloud-based software architecture rather than infrastructure and operations.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate emerging ideas on cloud architecture, best practices, and technologies for applicability
• Propose architectural patterns and technical solutions aligned with strategic vision
• Review team architectures and APIs for alignment and recommend improvements
• Investigate and assess technology options for scalability and suitability across products
• Collaborate with architects globally to shape vision and promote technical convergence
• Communicate architectural strategy and rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Work directly with product teams to guide architectural design and cloud-first practices
• Contribute to architectural documentation for decision-making and knowledge sharing
• Engage with customers and partner organizations on platform-level integration
• Provide proofs of concept and demos when necessary to validate approaches
Qualifications
• 15+ years of engineering or software development experience with strong programming background
• 5+ years of cloud and SaaS architecture experience at scale, ideally at Principal or Senior Architect level
• Proven experience developing and communicating architectural strategy for global SaaS solutions
• Experience with hyperscale cloud providers, with preference for Google Cloud Platform plus exposure to AWS and Azure
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with technical credibility, including creating proofs of concept
• Strong communication skills to engage with development teams, product managers, and executives
• Track record of improving scalability, performance, and availability within SaaS environments
