The multi-Salesforce Cloud Backend Developer oversees the design, delivery, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions that power our implementations and projects. This role focuses on core Salesforce platforms including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, Data 360, Marketing Cloud (Data Cloud) and others. This candidate will be responsible for project related work to helping customers with implementations and ongoing support such as audits, data pipelines, APIs, system orchestration, and backend architecture across Salesforce technologies. The developer works closely with project managers, solution consultants, technical architects, and client stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet business requirements, follow best practices, and align with overall solution design.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce
• Develop solutions for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce, Data 360 (Data Cloud), and other Salesforce core opportunities
• Build integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and platform events
• Develop robust back-end logic, data models, and automation (Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, scheduled jobs)
• Create responsive front-end user interfaces using LWC, Aura Components (as needed), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Optimize performance and scalability of Salesforce applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including admins, architects, and business analysts
• Contribute to release planning, code reviews, and DevOps/CI-CD processes
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers to help them build stronger skills for Salesforce
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Participate in development of new offerings geared toward the needs of the industry
• Work with Solutions Consultants and Solutions Architects to ensure efforts are estimated accurately based on the presale process.
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Stay current with Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and industry trends
• Develop functional documentation / architecture / technical design, etc. based on project objectives
• Other activities as required
Qualifications
• 4+ years of hands-on development experience in Service and Sales Cloud
• 2+ years of hands-on experience on Data 360 (Data Cloud) or Loyalty Cloud
• Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL/SQL, and Salesforce configuration
• Understanding of Salesforce administration, including Salesforce lightning framework and Salesforce Service Cloud
• Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and web services
• Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
• Comfortable in leveraging AI and building custom AI solutions for clients
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.)
• Experience with Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, Data 360, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-first mindset with attention to detail
• Experience working with modern web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS is an asset
• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II, Data Cloud Consultant, AI or other certifications is an asset
• Experience in a consulting or professional services environment is an asset
