Our Automotive client is seeking a Application Tech Lead! This role is a 3-month opportunity onsite in Torrance, CA (5 days/week onsite). Note that candidates may be asked to complete an assessment during the interview process.
Responsibilities
• Mobile Architecture & Development: Design and implement scalable mobile solutions for Android and iOS platforms.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide mobile development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• End-to-End Project Ownership: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications.
• Native App Development: Build and maintain apps using Kotlin/Java (Android) and Swift/Objective-C (iOS).
• API Integration: Work with RESTful APIs, OAuth, JWT, and third-party SDKs for secure integrations.
• Automotive Features: Implement and maintain CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in mobile and smartwatch app development.
• Expertise in native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development.
• Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT) and API integration.
• Experience with CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with MQTT and real-time communication.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with hybrid frameworks (React Native, Flutter, AngularJS, NodeJS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Background in automotive domain and digital services.
