Description:
Sr. Backend Automation Engineer
Test Automation Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain automated tests for desktop applications, APIs, scripts, and databases.
• Identify manual testing processes that can be automated to save time and effort.
• Support and enhance in-house automation frameworks and test suites.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, architects, cybersecurity, and infrastructure experts.
• Establish standards to ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of test automation tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues by collaborating with different teams.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience designing and maintaining test automation solutions across multiple platforms.
• Strong expertise in automating tests for desktop applications, APIs, and both packaged and custom applications.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and SQL, with experience working with relational databases.
• Deep understanding of API architecture, including functional and non-functional testing for SOAP and REST APIs.
• Solid knowledge of test automation strategies and framework development.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to various stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Tosca for test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration in large-scale environments.
• Background in the utility industry or similar sectors.
