On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a 4 Java/JEE Developers for a 10-month contract. This is an on-site role at the client’s Toronto, ON office.
Java/JEE Developer x 4– Job Description
• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications, including developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems arising during software usage and operation, including providing technical assistance for implementation, conversion, and migrations.
Java/JEE Developer x 4– Mandatory Skills
• Experience in n-tier web-based applications, database technologies, software, tools, Java EE (J2EE), and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with complex programming concepts and languages:
JSF, Spring, Spring Boot, MyBatis, ORM Framework, Core Java, WebSphere 8+, Liberty, Oracle 19c+, iText, MVC-based web applications, React, Apache MyFaces, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, RESTful Services, YML, SML, Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, ANT Build, Azure Pipeline.
• Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level.
• Ability to collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
• Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
• Experience using object-oriented and/or third-generation language development tools.
• Experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
• Experience using information retrieval packages with query languages.
• Experience with one or more communications protocols.
• Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• A team player with a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
Java/JEE Developer x 4– Nice to Have Skills
• Experience with Solaris / Linux / Windows and system testing methods.
• Experience in large-scale system analysis, design, and implementation for multi-client use with AODA compliance.
