KPMG is excited to offer the opportunity for a Manager, Cyber Operations within our Enterprise Security Services organization. This remote position allows you to be part of a dynamic team focused on advancing cyber security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize your expertise in IT security and incident response as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) specialist overseeing our 24/7 cyber security operations; create and document comprehensive processes and procedures through playbooks and automation.
• Manage tasks related to incident management, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and implementing remediation efforts to mitigate risks; perform regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and review security change requests.
• Define, configure, and optimize security monitoring tools, including alerts, correlation rules, and reporting mechanisms; develop automated processes for security monitoring and response.
• Use intelligence and analytical products to assess and respond to security events, inform customized risk prioritization and mitigation strategies, and share insights to enhance our security standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, stay updated on the latest security technologies and practices, mentor team members, and cultivate strong relationships with internal tech teams for collaborative strategy alignment.
• Oversee team deliverables, lead projects of small to medium scale, manage expectations, and play a key role in leadership decision-making while supervising junior staff members.
• Exhibit integrity, professionalism, and personal accountability to maintain KPMG’s respect-driven work environment.
Qualifications:
• At least five years of experience in cyber security, network, or general IT operations with substantial knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred; relevant certifications such as CISSP and Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer are advantageous.
• Demonstrated project and operational experience in security monitoring, incident response, and the implementation of processes and automation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills to facilitate teamwork and deliver exceptional customer service; adept at leading discussions in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to engage in resource planning and project estimation; willingness to work shift schedules as required.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
