We are representing an exciting Web3 Prop Trading Firm that blends quantitative and fundamentally informed approaches, specialising in mid‑frequency liquid trading. They are looking to add a Macro Strategist / Researcher to their small, high‑impact team. The role centres on analysing the global macroeconomic forces that shape digital asset markets. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in macro research from a leading hedge fund or investment bank, along with a genuine interest in applying that expertise to the evolving digital asset landscape. You will work closely with the trading team to translate complex macro developments into structured analysis, thematic research, and actionable market views. ResponsibilitiesMonitor and interpret global macroeconomic trends, central bank policy decisions, and regulatory developments across major jurisdictions.Analyse macro data releases and policy communications to assess implications for digital asset markets.Produce thematic research on cross‑asset correlations, liquidity cycles, and monetary policy regimes.Deliver high‑conviction research highlighting key risks, opportunities, and likely market impacts.Partner with the trading team to embed macro insights into portfolio positioning, risk management, and strategy development.Requirements2+ years' experience in a macro research / strategy, ideally within a macro hedge fund or global investment bank.Ability to connect macro and policy trends to market behaviour in digital assets, ideally with a track record of generating demonstrable PnL impact.Proven interest and practical exposure to crypto, blockchain, or digital asset markets.Strong understanding of macroeconomics, monetary policy frameworks, and cross‑asset market structure.Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to distil complex global developments into clear, actionable insights.High quantitative literacy and comfort working with data‑driven analysis.Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
