Role Purpose
The Overdraft Product Manager will lead the strategic development, management, and growth of the bank’s overdraft lending proposition for corporate clients. This role combines P&L ownership, product innovation, and regulatory stewardship to ensure the overdraft portfolio is profitable, scalable, and aligned with client working capital needs. Overdraft remains a critical anchor product for short-term liquidity, and this position will shape its future, driving profitability, client experience, and digital transformation.
1. Product Strategy & Proposition
• Own and drive end-to-end overdraft product strategy across corporate segments (SME, Mid Cap, Large Corporates).
• Identify growth opportunities, product enhancements, and market differentiation levers.
• Align overdraft offerings with working capital, liquidity, and transaction banking solutions.
2. P&L Ownership & Performance
• Manage product P&L, including pricing, utilization optimization, margin improvement, and capital efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs: portfolio size, yield, usage patterns, cost of funds, and loss rates.
• Drive initiatives to improve utilization and returns.
3. Product Development & Lifecycle Management
• Lead new product development and enhancements (digital onboarding, credit line management, client channel integration).
• Collaborate with technology, credit, legal, compliance, and operations for scalable, compliant solutions.
• Ensure operational readiness and superior client experience.
4. Risk & Governance
• Partner with Credit Risk to define risk criteria, exposure limits, and monitoring frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and capital treatment rules.
• Embed controls for credit, operational, and conduct risks.
5. Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit, Treasury, Operations, and Legal to align product features with business priorities.
• Act as SME for overdraft in client pitches and internal training.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in corporate banking, lending, or working capital product management.
• Knowledge of overdraft/revolving credit facilities, credit underwriting frameworks, and regulatory capital treatment is a plus.
• Experience in digitizing lending journeys is desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
