Our client is a well-established MNC currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their expanding digital division. In this role, you will spearhead a high-performing team of 4–5 developers, driving the architecture and development of core backend services. You will be responsible for overseeing cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines, while leveraging cutting-edge technologies—including PaaSSaaS platform integrations/migrations and AI/ML to maintain the company's competitive edge in the market.

• Lead the design and development of robust backend services within a modern JS environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while championing high-performance API design and best practices.
• Collaborate directly with senior business stakeholders to translate business visions into tangible technical roadmaps
• esearch and propose creative, workable solutions that align with long-term business goals.
• Utilize cloud architecture managed via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated through sophisticated CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive the seamless integration and migration of mission-critical platforms (e-commerce engines, CRM, and ERP systems), ensuring data integrity throughout the business cycle.
• Play a key role in establishing the architecture and engineering culture, setting standards for the team to follow.
skills & experiences required.
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• A great balance of architectural design skills and the ability to remain hands-on with code.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to proactively engage with the business to solve complex problems and provide technical advisory that supports business evolution.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, and microservices patterns.
• Proven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience connecting or migrating major Paas/SaaS platforms (such as Vercel, e-commerce engines, ERP, or CRM systems) into a unified backend.
• Relevant experience leveraging AI, Gen-AI, or ML technologies to enhance operational and workflow efficiency
• Prior experience leading or mentoring a small team of engineers in an agile environment..
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must; and currently based in Hong Kong with valid work permit.
